Aug. 23, 2008 - Jonas Brothers Concert
I went to the Jonas Brothers concert last night! It was AMAZING!!!! It was an outdoor concert and we were sitting out on a huge lawn. My friend and her friend were at the concert and my dad and I sat with them. My friend,her friend,and I were screaming,singing along to all the songs,and having so much fun! I thought we weren't going to be able to see that well,but we actually could very well. The stage was so cool and the Jonas Brothers were just absolutely amazing. Joe and Nick were doing flips on stage and stuff.My dad even admitted it was cool! There was an unbelievab;e amount of people there and we didn't get back until 1:00 in the morning! It was worth it,trust me. I am so glad I got those tickets for my birthday!
A cool thing was that on your way walking from where you park and to where the stage is and everything, you walk by the Jonas Brothers tour bus. I got to sign my name on the tour bus!!!! That was so cool! It was funny because these girls were looking at the door on the bus and they were touching the handel and were like,"They touched this door!!!" It was funny.
Sadly I don't have any good pictures to put on here because they won't let you bring cameras in. I h ad my camera on my cell phone,but it didn't take very good pictures because I don't have zoom on my phone.That's okay.

Aug. 21, 2008 - I Have A Lot to Talk About!
Hey! I'm so sorry I haven't written in so long! I just looked on here and it says I haven't written in a whole month! Well,I guess I'll have a lot to talk about then. I've just been very busy with school stating and everything. I'll try to write more often,though.
So,Championships. It was pretty good,I guess. I wasn't too happy with my times, but I had a lot of fun hanging out with my friends. I even got to race one of my friends and she beat me! But it wasn't even by a full second. She beat me in the 50 backstroke and she ended up getting second and I got third. In my 50 breaststroke,I got 41. which is okay,but I was aiming for 40. I did get 40,though! It was my split in the medley,though,that I got 40 seconds. I messed up on my turn in the individual breaststroke and that pretty much gained the whole extra second. I ended up getting fifth over all which is okay,but still. I know I could've done better. My relays did VERY good,though,and we got one second place medal and I think one third place! I was very happy about that.
Then,on August 2 was the swim banquet. There were two awards for each age group. One was the MVS award which was most valuable swimmer in the age group and the other was the Coach's award which was like the coaches favorite swimmer or whatever. I got the coaches award!!!! I am very happy about that. The banquet was so fun because I got to hang out with my friends which was cool and we played some cool games. We played a game of sharks and minnows which lasted a whole hour! Yeah,it was long,but it was a lot of fun.
So,yeah. Now swimming has been over for a while and I miss it so much! It starts again on September 15. Too long! I can wait,though. I'm going to try really hard this year to make it to zones. I have a much better chance this year because I'm the oldest in my age group and my times have gotten closer to the zone times. My 200 free time is still 15 seconds away,but I might be able to do it! You never know. I might even try to get zones in 50 back. I'm only 3 seconds away. My friend on the summer team is going to be on my fall team and shes the one who beat me in the 50 back at champs. I'll have some competition then! Maybe that will make me work harder and go faster!
Guess where I'm going tomorrow? The Jonas Brothers concert!!!!! I'm SO excited! My poor dad has to take me though. Oh,well. He'll have to get over it! The cool thing is,is that one of my friends is going to the concert too. I'll call her on her cell phone and we're going to try to find each other at the concert and we can maybe sit with her and her family. That would be so cool! I can't wait!

I am so happy right now! It's because of how well I did at my swim meet on Thursday. I got my best time ever in both of my events. Okay, here they are:
50 backstroke- 36.41
50 breaststroke- 41.47!!!!!!!
I am extremely excited about my breaststroke time! I have never been under forty-two seconds before! I also did two relays and got first lace in all of my events. I had so much fun! I also did well at our make-up meet that we had. This time it didn't rain, thankfully! I am so sad that we only have one more week of swimming and then it's over! I'll miss it so much. I'm definitly going on this team next year because I love the coaches and I have made so many new friends.
Well, I'll write again soon! This week on Saturday is our Championship Meet which I'm really excited about and we also have a meet on Tuesday, by the way. Bye!

Jul. 11, 2008 - Swim Meet
Hey! Notice I only put "swim meet" instead of "swim meets". Yeah, I was supposed to have 2 swim meets this week, but one got cancelled because of a thinderstorm. We're having a make-up meet, though on Tuesday. So I'll have a week with two meets!
Okay, about the meet yesterday. It was so fun! I had a blast hanging out with my friends and I improved my times too. Here they are, also with the place I got:
200 Yard Medley Relay- 2:29.72 1st place
100 Yard IM- 1:20.95 (my best time!) 2nd place
50 Yard Backstroke (yeah I swam back instead of breaststroke, but still did good!) 37.90 1st place
200 Yard Freestyle Relay- 2:12.69 1st place
So, yeah! I got some pretty good times and I had so much fun. I can't wait until next week to swim. I was most happy about the time I got in my 100 IM. That's, of course, the best time I've gotten so far and had a lot of fun swimming it. I do have to work on my turns, going from backstroke to breaststroke, though.

Happy 4th of July! We're going to go see the fireworks later this evening which will be cool.
Okay, about swimming. I love it! I love my coach and I have a lot of friends on the team. The meets are a lot of fun too, although they are very long. They're usually on Thursdays, but sometimes on Tuesday like this week. This weeks was outdoors and nobody liked the pool at all. The walls were so high and you could barely get out of the pool. Also the walls were blue, so when you swam up to do your flip-turn, the wall kinda blended in with the water and you thought the wall was closer then it really was. And it was meters! Lately I've been swimming both relays and I swim breaststroke in the medely. I also swim the 100 IM and 50 breaststroke. My IM on Tuesday wasn't so good, but I dropped almost a second and a half on my breaststroke! My time was in meters so I don't know the exact yard time, but its 42. or 41. I was so happy!
We also get ribbons for every meet which is cool. We didn't win our last meet because the other team was so fast! I got second place in my relay, third in my breaststroke, and fith in my IM. I had fun even though we lost and my IM time wasn't so good. This week we have two meets! One on Tuesday and one on Thursday! I think it will be fun.
My brother's birthday was on Tuesday and he turned 11. He's not here though! Hee was at camp on his birthday and when he gets home tomorrow, we'll take him shopping so he can pick out the stuff he wants.

Jun. 6, 2008 - A Lot to Say
I have A LOT to write about!
First of all, my camping trip that we took over Memorial Day weekend was great! We camped at Carter Caves in Kentucky with my cousins and we had a blast. The caves were amazing! Since it had rained that week, in some spots in the caves, the water came over your knees! You also had to stoop really low in some spots and even crawl. It was so much fun. We tried swimming in the pool that they had at the park, but it was freezing cold. I swam in it longer then my cousins, but after about 10 minutes, I couldn't stand it any longer! We also saw some more of my relatives when we went to visit the grave sites of some of my relatives and it was cool to see them. I had a lot of fun camping.
My birthday was yesterday! I am finally 12. I had so much fun, too! I went to see the new Indiana Jones movie on Tuesday and I thought it was pretty good. I think I liked The Last Crusade better,though. On my actual birthday, I went to McDonalds for lunch (a lot of people think that's weird that that is where I would choose to go of all places on my birthday!) and for dinner, my mom made her really good homemade pizza with french fries and Dr. Pepper (Yay!) to drink. There was also red velvet cake to eat after dinner.
Guess what I got as my present? Tickets to the Jonas Brothers When You Look Me in the Eyes tour!!!!! I am so excited! I'll have to wait awhile, though because they don't come to where I live until August, but I'm sure it will be worth the wait. I'm also going to get a PS2 in a week or so that will be part of my present and my brother's to share.
Swimming has also gone very good. The practices are,again, much easier then they were on my old team, but I still love going to practice! So far practice has only been on Saturdays at 10:00 to 12:00, but starting on Monday, practices will be 4 days a week starting at 7:30 in the morning! I'm not looking forward to waking up that early all summer long until August 2! Oh,well.

My Grandma was here over the weekend and I was so excited to see her! She stayed at our house over the weekend because my parents went camping on their anniversary. My grandma came on Friday and left on Tuesday morning. I was really sad she had to leave, but I'm going to see her in less then two weeks because my family is going camping over Memorial Day weekend like we have been for a while. We're camping in Kentucky (where my grandparents live) and it just so happens that my baby sister's birthday is on May 25, so they'll come to our campsite and celebrate her birthday with us. We're also camping with my cousins so I'[m excited to see them again.
I had an awesome time when my grandma was here and I know she was glad to see us too, even though she had to drag us to swim practice and to two soccer games! She even took my brother and I shopping and I absolutely love my clothes. I am so glad I got to see her and can't wait to see her again next week.

P.S. We tied my soccer game, 2 to 2. I had so much fun anyway! Maybe this week we'll win one of our games.

Today was my first day of swim practice. I love my team! The coaches are really good at giving you personal attention and they are really good at explaining things to you. The groups are split up into 8 and unders, 9-10, 11-12, and high schoolers. I have only 3 other people in my lane which is cool so that we're not all squished together. The pool is great there,also, and I just love my new team! The first practice was very easy, but I still like it!
Last night there was a dinner-dance thing with people from my church. It was so much fun! We did some fun dances like the chicken dance and electric slide. There were also some ethnic dances like Greek and Russian, and also some ballroom dances. The ethnic dances, like the line dancing was really hard, but so much fun! I kinda got the hang of it, but I still don't know quite all the steps. It lasted from 6:30 till 11:00, so, yeah, we were there for a long time. But I didn't even want to leave, it was so much fun! My church apparently has one of these every year, so I'm excited about being able to do it again-even though I'll have to wait awhile for the next dance!

So sorry I didn't write earlier! Well, here's what I did.
In Kentucky I had a wonderful time! We played laser tag and it was my first time ever doing it. The place where we did laser tag was two floors so that was really cool. It was like I imagined it to be and it was so much fun. I had a pretty good score over all too!We also went to this one place ( I forgot what it was called) and it had trampolines you could jump on, balance beams, and all kinds of fun things that I loved. We also went to a place where we played Wii, and that was also my first time ever playing with a Wii. Two of my cousins and I played Mario Party 8 and it was really fin. I had a great time. My Aunt Kim also took me shopping and gave me new clothes that I absolutely love and I am so thankful for the clothes she gave me. I had a great time spending time with my cousins and I already want to see them again!
This year I've decided to do soccer! Our first practice was Wednesday and it was for 2 hours! Yeah, I was tired by the end of it. The age group ranges from 11 year olds to 16 year olds, though! I think I have three high schoolers on my team, but that's good! They are pretty good at playing. Today was my first game and we lost by 1 point. I'm okay with it,though. I had fun and now I know what position I play (I play mid-fielder). I am excited about playing this year. Swimming is starting again soon, so I'll have plenty to do this summer!

Apr. 2, 2008 - Very Excited
This Sunday, it looks like I'm going to Kentucky to visit my cousins. For 4 days! I am so excited I get to stay there that long. I''m sure I'll have a blast because I always do when ever I go to see my cousins. My brother and I are the ones going and we're going to meet my Aunt Kim half way from Ohio to Kentucky on Sunday. Then we'll stay until Thursday. I'm sure the weather in Kentucky will be diffrent then the weather we're having on Ohio so I'll have to make sure I pack the right clothes! I am very excited and can't wait to go.

Mar. 25, 2008 - Fun Time
Last week I was invited to a party that one of the family's at church was having for the teenagers )I'm not exactly a "teenager" but I was still invited"). It was so much fun. My played this game called Mophia (I think thats how you spell it), and its really complicated to explain, but if you want to know, just ask and I'll tell you. We also watched some of a movie at the end of the party (Bruce Almighty) and it was really good. The party lasted from 6:00 to 10:00 at night so I had an awesome time during those hours. I was pretty sad I had to go home. We also for dinner, had pizza that we made on our own. It was pretty good.

Mar. 8, 2008 - Snow!
We have so much snow outside! I mean it has to be over 18 inches of snow. Today our car got stuck in the snow when we had almost made it out of the driveway. So, we spent atleast 25 minutes digging it out and finally when we got it out, we were very excited. Its snowed all day long and started yesterday. I think its supposed to stop sometime in the middle of the night, though. And the cold! It has been so cold outside and in the house. I'll be glad when it goes away.
There is one good thing about the snow,though. You can play in it! My brother and I made forts a while ago and threw snowballs at eachother. A couple of days ago, we went to a friends house and played in their yard and it was very fun. We threw snowballs at each other and pushed eachother down in the snow. I had a blast, but was glad to go inside and drink some delicous hot chocolate, 2 hours later. It is possible to have fun even in the cold!

Mar. 3, 2008 - Leagues
Leagues was the best meet ever! It was so worth the drive of about an hour and fifteen minutes.I of course first swam my 50 breaststroke in my relay and I think I got my best time in my 50, Our relay did awesome. Then I got ready to swim my 200 freestyle. I was thinking before I swam that its my last meet so I need to try my hardest and try to get the best time I can get. Well I did. I got a 2:28.18!!!!!!!!!I got under 2:30!!!! And I won my heat and got a heat winner ribbon!!!! I am so happy and excited. My cap didn't fall off or my goggles which is a huge relief. Our relay also did an awesome job in the 200 freestyle relay. We dropped off 6 seconds all together and I got my best 50 freestyle time ever. My asthma didn't bother me at all that whole day,too. Before Leagues, our teamgot a water bottle and took some of the water in our pool and put it in the bottle. Then we poured it into the pool at Leagues because our pool has "fast water" in it. I guess it worked!
So, I'm happy. I got 12th place out of 24 girls so thats pretty good. The cool thing is that I was in the first heat (the slowest) and since I got such a good time, I beat some of the girls in the faster heats too. I am so happy. The funny thing is that the lady who was timing me was like before I swam,"Okay, how about we try for a 2:35?" and I was like,"Okay." Then when I finished she was like,"Oh my goodness! You dropped 10 seconds!" I knew I could get better then 2:35 so I think that helped me a little to swim fast so I could prove to her I could get better then that, or something.
Last year Leagues was at that exact same pool and I got my best time in the 200 there. Maybe there's just something about that pool.

Feb. 24, 2008 - Whats Been Going On
This past week has been very good for me! The practices at swimming have been going well and this week we only have 4 more practices, then leagues, and then swimming is over
. Its very sad. I'm hoping that I won't get too nervous before my 200 and don't mess up. I'm shooting for atleast 2:29 in the 200 and in my 50s, I just want to swim really fast!
On Friday, we had a family game night at my church. It was very fun and I played Yahtzee and Blockus which is a very difficult but fun game. I've never played Blockus before, but I still one twice! I think I'll have to play it again. There was delicous food (pizza!) and I had an awesome time. I hope that my church has something else like that to go to.
The weathe ris still the same. Cold. I am ready for spring now so I can do something outside without being freezing cold! For the past three weeks, its been either below freezing or like 42 degrees. I can't wait until spring!

Feb. 6, 2008 - Results
Hey! I know in my last entry I worte how my times were really bad and everything. Well, last night at practice, they posted who made it to leagues on the board. This is what I made it to leagues in:
200 freestyle
200 freestyle relay
200 medly relay
I'm excited that I atleast made it to leagues. I am so happy about the medly because I get to swim breaststroke and I love to swim breaststroke. I have been getting good times in breaststroke lately and I just love to swim it. Its something diffrent from freestyle. I got tenth place in the 200 freestyle which is not so good, but I'm going to remember to use my inhaler before I swim this time and work harder at practice so I can get better.

Well, I guess I'll write about the swim meet although it was the worst swim meet ever. Both of my 50's in the relays were very good,but my 50 freestyle and 200 freestyle were not good at all. I got a 33 in the 50 free and a 2:38 in the 200.I forgot to use my inhaler before I swam my 200 so thats why my time is so much slower. My asthma has been a problem lately so I'm hoping that we can do something to make it better. I did have a fun time hanging out with my friends and stuff at the meet, though. I know not every meet is going to be great for me, but I just wish that divisionals didn't have to be my bad meet.
Nothing much has happened this week. The usual schoolwork and practices. Today I of course got up and went to church and after that we went straight home. I think today I'll sit around reading books, watch TV, and relax. Tomorrow is another schoolday which I'm dreading. Oh,well. The weekend was good while it lasted.

Jan. 20, 2008 - Swim Meet
At the swim meet yesterday, my events were completely changed. I swam the medely relay, 50 free, and 50 back! The 50 back was what really surprised me. I mean I hadn't swam that in a year! Well, I was so nervous about it, but it turned out better then I thought it would. My split in the medely relay (I again swam breaststroke) was my fastest time I've ever swam in a breaststroke 50 so I was of course very happy. My time in the 50 free was 32. 96 I think so I gained hundreths of a second. But my time in the 50 backstroke was 37.48! I am so excited about that even though its not too great its still my best time evr in that event. I didn't swim the 200 because they changed me to swim the 50 backstroke instead.
That was our last dual meet! Now I'm getting ready for Divisionals which is on February 2,2008. I'm going to swim the 50 free and 200 free, I think. They might put me in something else.
It is so cold today! It was 6 degrees when I woke up this morning to go to church. I was going to wear a skirt to church, but my skirt wasn't long enough for this cold weather! We don't have any snow right now, but we;ll probally get some soon. Well, I'll write again either this week or next week!

Jan. 6, 2008 - Saturday
I had a great Saturday! The first thing I did was wake up at like 7:40 and get ready to go to church. After church, we hung out at the house until it was time to go to the Y for our swim meet. We were going against a huge team who had like 150 swimmers so it was crowded. It wasn't too bad though and we didn't have that bad of a spot. These are my previous times and what I got yesterday.
Medly Relay- I'm not sure. I never get the times for some reason.
200 Freestyle- Previous time:2:35 and Saturday time 2:33!
50 freestyle- Prevoius time 32.94 and Saturday time 32.06
Freestyle Relay- Wasn't sure about that time either.
I am really happy that I dropped time on all my events even though it was either a couple seconds or hundreths of a second! I felt so much better at this meet then at the last meet and I didn't feel so tired and as if I wasn't going to be able to finish the event. I still don't know for sure if I have asthma, but the inhaler is helping me a lot.
At this meet I swam with the fastest relay because the girl who is usually on it wasn't there today. I was very nervous and didn't want to dissapoint them so I did my best. Everyone said I did a great job and I'm very glad because I was really nervous. And our relay got first!!! The meet was really fun and now we only have one more dual meet until Divisionals! I really hope I make it to leagues.
After the meet, we went to a restraunt with my grandparents and it was fun. Then my dad and I went shopping with my Christmas money. I went to Kohls first and bought some clothes and I love my new clothes. They sure were worth the money!

Dec. 26, 2007 - Christmas
My Christmas was really great this year! I had a fun time going to visit my relatives and I love all of the gifts I was given. For Christmas I got a very nice bracelet, earrings, hair stuff, Pirates of the Carribean 3, a Pirates of the Carribean 3 calander, and $130 dollars from all my relatives. I am very thankful for all I have gotten and had a great time. We didn't have a white Christmas this year, but it sure was cold! That's okay with me though.
So, how was your Christmas? I have swim pracice today (they barely give us a break!) and I hope I do good from not swimming in a while. Our next meet is January 5,2008 and I am guessing I'll be swimming the same thing. Then we only have one more dual meet then its divisionals! I can't wait and I really hope I make it to leagues.

The meet on Saturday wasn't really great so that's why I didn't write about it sooner. My times are getting worse, so I'm again hoping that I'll get better. I felt horrible last Saturday anyway, so maybe I'll do better. Our next meet isn't until January 5,2008.
Only 6 more days until Christmas! I can't wait beecause I get to go to my grandparents house and see my aunts,uncles,grandparents,and cousins. It should be really fun. We actually will have snow on Christmas this year unlike last year. I can tell because we have a lot of snow on the ground already and even if it doesn't snow anymore, the snow should still stick. I havn't played outside in the snow yet, but I will when it snows again.
I'll probally write again on Christmas or the day after.
