Jun. 1, 2007 - ~* Promises to Cling to...*~
Here are some encouraging words and promises I am clinging to right now:
"...The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.
The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.
The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth."
Ps. 145: 13b, 14, 18
"The Lord delights in those who fear him, who put their hope in his unfailing love."
Ps. 147: 11
"The Lord your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
Zephaniah 3:17
"...I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength."
Philippians 4: 12b-13

I'm glad you said "promise*s*", because I have more than one. :-)
1. 1 Corinthians 10:13 - "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not sufer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it."
2. James 1:5 - "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him."
3. 2 Timothy 1:7 - "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."
4. Philippians 1:6 - "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ."
