Working on the Weekly planner

I finished the overview. Whew! Our school year will go from Sept 1st to June 10th.

Then I had to create a new weekly lesson planner. Well, I created it...  But it is WAY to full!!! There is no way I'm going to have time to do all this with my kids - and work at the same time!

Here's the section I'm worried about the most at the moment:

Weekly Activity 1

Weekly  Activity 2

Weekly Activity 3

Monthly Activity

Day 1

Keepers

Mad Libs

Vocab CD

Presentation

Community Service

Day 2

Current Event

Magazine

History Channel Show

Diagnostic Testing CHSCC

Day 3

Art

Typing

Spanish

Field Trip

Chore Day

Day 4

Composer

Sign Language

Bible Trivia

Reading

Family Activity

Day 5

Quiz Cards

Home Ec.

Speed Test Drill

Skills Evaluation

Project

And then I have one more column that has a list of books or tapes that I want the kids to complete during the year. Basically, read this book, then put it back on the bookshelf.

But the items in this chart are things that are supposed to be done on a regular basis - not daily, but weekly or monthly. I can't do all of these. But what is important enough to keep on my schedule?

And I still have other items I need to review this week. But not tonight!

And I thought I had life too crowded by doing AWANA's on Wednesday nights! BTW, it was nice seeing you today- you did look great in that white dress of your's!

Oooh, you seem busy! Praying that God will help you clarify His priorities so you know what to keep and what to let go. I always struggle in this area too. There are so many good things, but I can miss the best by holding too tightly to the good.

I'm off to do some final planning too. Wish me luck!

Hope you don't mind, but I want to add you to my friends list. Then I'll know when you add new posts. I enjoy learning about fellow Weaverettes and have some real estate background, too.
