Fun Assignment #1
Our first fun assignment was creating a tradition. I had the children each create a family tradition of their choosing. It could be an old tradition brought back, one borrowed from someone else or something completely unique. The tradition could be yearly, weekly, daily or whatever. They were required to describe the tradition, state the frequency it occurs, and give a rationale for why they think this tradition should be added to the family lineup of traditions.
Today they will add to this by describing the traditions we already have to see how many they can come up with. It will be interesting to see how much of what we do they realize are traditions in our family. Later, we will be discussing traditions, both ours and others.
