Take the Grocery Challenge

I am issuing a grocery challenge for the month of April. The idea is to cut back on grocery expenses while using what you have already accumulated. You plan your menus around what you have on hand. It’s the time to use those canned goods that are languishing in the depths of the pantry, the mystery meats hidden under the ice of the freezer and even the stuff that’s been shoved to the back of the fridge, but is still usable.
Of course, you’ll still need some milk and eggs and some vegetables, so decide what your limit is going to be for picking up perishable items and restocking necessary staple items you can’t live without. I’m doing this in conjunction with the Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge at DandelionSeeds blog. I need to pare down my freezer so I can eliminate one that is giving me problems. I also like the idea of saving money and using up what I already have. So, who will join me?
