That's Why It's Called a Challenge

I recently became involved with the Clean Heart, Clean Home Challenge at Dandelion Seeds blog. I am using the term "involved" very loosely here. The first areas covered by the challenge were impossible for me to do. My front porch is stacked with building supplies. My hallway is stacked with textbooks. My living room is stacked with storage boxes I'm weeding through so we can eliminate our storeroom.
Since joining I have been inundated with one thing after another, most of which pulled me out of the house. Next week isn't looking much better. However, the devotional is doing me wonders and I am planning for other weeks when things are less crazy. I'm going to go back and do some of the cleaning I haven't been able to get to. I'm trying to just do a bit on whatever area we are working on, knowing I will come back to it later. In fact, I'm currently planning to do the whole thing over again when we finish. Maybe the main things I'm supposed to learn this time around are patience and flexibility. Perhaps, this will stretch me more than I know.
But, hey, that's why it's called a challenge, right?
