Brett….I'm with YOU!!!

Okay I am such a girl!  When I decided to watch "foose ball" …well I only decided because my dear husband (who when we married said he did not watch much sports because he could just see the highlights on ESPN…which he says he has to watch foose ball now because we don’t have  ESPN but it’s a lame excuse cuz they have ESPN.com=) puts his big ole glug of a head into that TV to watch foose ball and I had no choice but to join him if I wanted to get ANY time with him.  What is the saying "can’t *beat* them join them" well one day while watching Brett Favre (I pronounce it Fav-ray=) get ridiculed by the announcers I thought ‘that poor man’ and then I got a super cool idea, hum maybe I will pick that team?  Hey at least I did not pick it based on the teams colors or the size of their round…ahem…helmets!  So anywho I picked my team and then last year I set out to route for them!  I was so happy to have a *team* to route for.  I watched and asked my husband a billion question (like why does Brett hike his leg before the punt sometimes?…because the crowd/noise might be too loud for the other guy to hear him say hike, or whatever they say!) I thought my husband would hate those questions but he told me he was glad he had someone to hang out with during the games, awww!

Then the rumors of Brett retiring at the peek of his career started to surface and I thought nu-uh not *my* Brett…then I knew, man I am a girl,  I don’t have a team, I have a Brett!!!  So what to do, well I told my hubby "I will just not have a team until Brett becomes a coach", to which my husband chuckled, snorted and said "well that will probably be years from now"  So…I don’t care I will follow him!

Okay this is not totally a girl thing, I liked that he helped pick some team members last year, that he helped create plays and that he helped take his team to the last game of the playoffs!!! So I know a little more than just why he hikes his leg!  Not much more but a little.

So anyho now with all this Brett Favre "soap opera" stuff going on I am making a stand!  I stand with Brett!  I don’t care if he decided to come out of retirement (haven’t you ever changed your mind) I don’t care if he used retirement to try and go with another team (you know you have said something in hopes it will get you out of that something so you can go do something else!-)  And I don’t care that he gets paid millions and millions of dollars to play foose ball and he should not be whining about the way his old team treated him-How many millionaires are unhappy even though they have millions?  Don’t you know that money can’t make you happy?  Come on…

So I am on Brett’s side of this!  I don’t care if my husband thinks I am such a dork, he can snicker all he wants!  I’m a girl and I am stickin to it!

tee he I was taking a quote from the movie "water boy" -not a movie I recommend seeing- and the mom kept calling foot ball foose ball. It was just a play on what she said to go along with myself being too girly to even know what I'm really talking about.

I think I'm confused. The foose ball I know is on a table with only a couple of players. Certainly nothing a guy would hike his leg to signal another player what he was about to do. A game where the worst sports injury you could get is a bad elbow.
