I’m not sure I quite know where to begin, I obviously missed spring, summer too for the most part…I told myself that once school ended I would have SO much time……ah yes, time……

Well so many things have happened, shifted, just plain changed….and now I stand at the edge of a new adventure. We are moving again….to North Carolina….my husband is already there….life is a little rough right now…..uncertain is an understatement…..But God in His infinate wisdom and glory showed me the following beautiful words, tucked away in the pages of Joshua….

“But YOU are to cling to the Lord YOUR God, as you have done to this day” ( Joshua 23:8 emphasis mine) …Joshua is reminding the people that no matter what is going on, what others are doing (idolatry) THEY are to cling to God…..CLING TO GOD……

CLING :  to stick together, to hold fast, to adhere closely

This is such an encouragement to me……we don’t just believe in God, know there is a God, we can actually CLING to Him….and there are days, alot of them lately, that I am clinging for dear life…..it also says “as you have done to this day”…..in other words, don’t stop…when things get tough, or incredibly easy, when you’re afraid, when you’re lost, when you are at peace……cling to God as you have done to this day…..but to really cling to God you must know Him intimately…..would you cling to a stranger in time of need or someone you know and trust?…..we must stay in the Word daily….God’s word is new and fresh all the time…this verse is proof positive for me….I never knew it was there, or at least I never really paid attention….but just when I needed it I really SAW it…..

God is awesome like that…….
