Nov. 28, 2007 - Tag!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well it's getting really close to Christmas!!!! Yay!!!!! So I made this tag to kinda bring back holiday memories!!!!
1. Holiday memory you'll never forget: Ok, that would have to be either the year our dogs chewed up my presents, or the year I forgot it was Christmas, and came downstairs in the middle of the night. I got to watch my mom stuff my stocking!
2. One thing you REALLLY want to get for Christmas: A Yankees jersey!!!!!!!
3. Ok list one of your family's Holiday traditions: Well every year I almost ALWAYS get up before everyone but my mom, and I'd obviously want to open my presents ASAP, so Mommy and me made a rule, Whoever's asleep at 7:00 I get to wake them up! I love doing that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4. Have you ever tried peaking at one of your presents: Well, no, umm... not exactly, though I do always pick really light wrapping paper so that I can see through the paper. Oh and one year I looked at the receipt on my Mom's bed...
5. Have you decorated your tree yet: well no, net yet. We usually do it in the first.
6. Do you have any certain TV shows you like to watch during the Holidays: Our TV is pretty much permanantly stationed on ABC, we always watch the 25 Days Of Christmas.
7. I tag: Catcher818, Yankees213, KB, haffgrim, roonwick, shootingstar, and mustardseed
Well I hope you have fun, and this tag brought back good memories!

Nov. 14, 2007 - A-Rod Back In The Bronx?
Is A-Rod coming back to New York after opting out of the final 3 years on his contract worth 81 million? Well I'm not really sure, no one knows, but the most likely AL MVP did put this statement on AROD.com, his official site.
"After spending time with Cynthia and my family over these last few weeks, it became clear to me that I needed to make an attempt to engage the Yankees regarding my future with the organization.
Prior to entering into serious negotiations with other clubs, I wanted the opportunity to share my thoughts directly with Yankees' ownership. We know there are other opportunities for us, but Cynthia and I have a foundation with the club that has brought us comfort, stability and happiness.
As a result, I reached out to the Yankees through mutual friends and conveyed that message. I also understand that I had to respond to certain Yankees concerns, and I was receptive and understanding of that situation.
Cynthia and I have since spoken directly with the Steinbrenner family. During these healthy discussions, both sides were able to share honest feelings and hopes with one another, and we expect to continue this dialogue with the Yankees over the next few days."
--Alex Rodriguez

Aug. 26, 2007 - Walk Off Win

Coming up to bat in extra innings, bottom of the eighth to be exact, Dalton Carriker had a lot on his mind. Though to some it looked like a normal at-bat, it was more. If Carriker got on base, his team would have a chance to win the Little League World Series. If he homered, well it'd be over for the little leaguers from Japan. If he'd gotten out, and his teamates had to it would mean the top of the ninth, but Carriker didn't want that, he wanted to win, and that they did. Dalton Carriker hit a walk off home run to win Warner Robbins, GA (or Southeast) the thing every baseball loving boy and girl dreams of, the Little League World Series! It meant that Georgia had won every time they made it, and it was a rematch of last year's series, which also ended with Japanese little leaguers crying, and Georgia little leaguers cheering, and consoling the upset Japanese. Though I'm sad for Japan, I'm glad Georgia won.

Aug. 18, 2007 - Pennsylvania
Hi everybody! I'm in Pennsylvania! The weather is so much nicer here than where I live, which is refreshing. We have watched 1 1/2 games of the LLWS so far. We watched Japan play Caribbean. Japan won 10-3. Japan's team is fun to watch, while Caribbean was pulling their pitcher, one Japanese kid was dancing on second base.
After we watched Japan, we walked around for a while. I had bought a hat during Japan's game and a pin for my favorite team Southeast (GA) so I put that on my hat. Then I bought a Japan pin.
After that we went back to Lamade Stadium to watch GA get ready to play Lake Oswego Oregon. We talked to a few of Ga's players including Dalton Cariker, my favorite player on the team. Then we watched the game. Warren Robbins, GA won 9-4! Then we went back to our hotel.
Right now I'm in the business room of a Hampton Inn & Suites in Lamar. I had a pretty good night sleep. This morning my sister, my friend, and I played catch in the parking lot of our hotel. It felt good outside, so it was a lot of fun. We'll probably leave for the Stadium in an hour. It's pretty boring right now, since I have nothing to do and all. I'll probably get Dalton Cariker's autograph this evening just in case he goes far (Like the bigs perhaps!)
See ya,
YankeesGirl

Aug. 15, 2007 - I'm Catching Up
Hi everyone,
I dedicate this entry to KB
Sorry I haven't been on in a while, I've been really busy on my other blog Yankees213, and if I don't get a message I don't come on here.
I will not be on tomorrow. My family and a friend are going to Williamsport, PA, to watch a few games of the LLWS. I've never been to Pennsylvania before, so this will be fun!
Some of you may have heard of the passing of Hall of Fame Yankee shortstop Phil Rizzuto, if you haven't, he died. Derek Jeter was very upset.
Thank you to KB for all those comments, it was so nice reading the same thing 13 TIMES!
I have a cold right now. Not too bad, not like pneumonia or the flu or something, just your usual, miseable, common cold.
If you haven't noticed KB, Catcher818, and I have started a new blog called ilive4this. I'll link to it later.
While I've been gone from this blog, Alex Rodriguez hit his 500th home run( YAY,) Barry Bonds beat the home run record (GRRR...,) and Tom Glavine won his 300th game (He's a pitcher.)
Well that's it for now,
YankeesGirl
