More power to ya! I live in a place where everyone stares at me because I am the wrong color - peachy. They are all a little more chocolate and olive. I get stared at every where I go. It can drive me batty. Then when people say, So where do your kids go to school? Then their eyes roll and they know that I am from a far off planet. No one homeschools in Brazil. They have no concept of why any one would even want to.

Hope you can find some more families like yours! I'm still looking for some like mine! :)

How is your daughter? Better, I hope?

I don't comment on all your poems, but I do find them inspirational and thought-provoking. I have written a lot of poetry in the past - unfortunately, I think much of my best poetry got lost when our house was hit by lightning last summer and our computer hard drive crashed! But poetry can be hard to publish - have you considered submitting some of it to magazines?

And, how do you get your blogs to be in categories? Also, how do you write something that always stays at the top like this section in your blog?

Hey Girl!
You can get tie dye kits at big craft stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby. I bet Wal Mart has them, too, but i haven't looked in their craft section.
They're pretty easy to do. My 10 yr old and 8 yr. old do their own (with supervision).

Hey there! My cbox smilies are free from photobucket. I searched for specific things like "smilies and housecleaning" or "sleep and smilies." Once you save them to your account and have the url codes, you can go to cbox and sign in to your account. Then you need to go to "smilies". You'll get a table. Add the url and a separate code that you need to make up. For example for a rainbow I did this (((. If this doesn't make sense, email me at jenn4him@gmail.com. (((HUGS)))

We're doing well except that I'm ready for dh to be done with school for the semester! He works 7-5 and goes to class 5-10 every week night except Friday. I'm ready for a summer break :-)

Hi, Tirzah. Connor (10) & Jacob (8) have done the Star Wars books over and over and over!! They keep quizzing me on characters that I don't know. I've seen the movies, but never read all the books. They love them! Right now Jacob is into my husband's old Hardy Boys books! He has read about 30 since the beginning of this school year. Yea, God! I wasn't too sure how he was going to learn to read, but he has far surpassed my expectations! Connor now ONLY wants to read war books. Sounds like that wouldn't be a problem...but it is. Not a whole lot of good clean war books out there. We had a couple from the library that were in the kids' section, the language! No, thank you.

Those were indeed my babes. They are the most precious thing in my life even if they make me crazy some days.
Sure seems as though those kids had some fun times in the kitchen making that cake, where's my piece!

Thanks for the comments and compliment you left on my blog. TV-free is going well. No other choice in the matter for the kids, but it can be challenging when I just want a little peace. It has taken a lot of adjusting for all of us, but it's so worth it!

Thank you for sharing your heart. How can people get along without Christ? I'd want to crawl into a hole when it all doesn't make sense.

Well first of all, it is good to see you blogging again. I rejoice with you that you are seeing break throughs. God's grace is always sufficient and His timing is always perfect, even when we wait for the break-throughs to happen.

I am excited that you got some of the Lamplighter books. They will be such a blessing to you and your precious children. I just finished a conference in Modesto, CA and I enjoyed every moment of sharing my love of the books with parents. I will pray that your jaw will heal and that you will soon find yourself sitting on the couch with them huddled around you hungering for the next chapter.
