About

Hi, I’m Kim, and thank you so much for stopping by!  I’m a child of God, a born-again follower of Jesus Christ.  Wife, Mom, Homeschooler, and so many other titles are what fit me these days.
I am 40ish these days, and that is okay.  I have always battled being overweight as well.  In the past 9 months, I have lost 40 lbs and still have a ways to go.  I will let you know how that is going.

I am trying to get more organized with my home, my homeschool, and my everyday life.  I enjoy spending time studying God’s word, reading, working on this blog, and cooking. Of course, the extra reading and blogging are often put to the back of the list.  Life just demands more from my time.  I do have a BS degree in Sociology with a minor in Appalachian Studies.  I blog primarily about homeschooling and everyday life and adventures with my family.

The Husband!
My wonderful dear husband and I have been married for 24 years now. That seems amazing just to type that number!  He is a bi-vocational pastor, working full-time and pastoring a small (but wonderful) church.  We have been so blessed though you might not know it to look at us.  It’s not the material things; it’s what we have in our hearts.

The Boys!

  • Baby #1 B-Man is 21 now. He is attending and living on campus at college. He is a business major, and he works part-time as well.  He also enjoys gaming and playing the guitar.
  • Baby #2 At 18 this is S-Man, he has a more serious nature, but he enjoys games, loves football, and plays his bass guitar.  He also loves riding ATVs with his dad. He works part-time as well. He is currently in graduated and looking into vocational careers.

Babies #3 and #4 came as a package deal.  Yes, they are twins, but look nothing alike and act nothing alike. They are 15 now.

  • Baby # 3  Twin 1 is my car guy! He enjoys the mechanics of cars and learning about them. He enjoys his basketball and most sports in general.  He also enjoys gaming and gardening.
  • Baby #4 Twin 2 enjoys his sports and gaming but also enjoys science and has said he might enjoy something with coding and computers someday. He really enjoys working with his 3D printer. He is more intense than his twin.

I am so blessed to be momma to these boys!
