Kristen is a housewife and mother to a teen stepson and two younger children (son, 7, and daughter, 5). Kristen holds a BA in History and an MS in Teaching and is certified to teach social studies for middle school and high school. Kristen has worked as a volunteer at a National Park site, in the education department of a metropolitan zoo, and as a high school history teacher. Her favorite areas of history are Ancient Egypt, Tudor England, the American Civil War, and World War I. Kristen has maintained a blog where she relates her family’s learning experiences at A Mom’s Quest to Teach since 2015.
