About (Meet the Herd)

Howdy…I’m Cheri Bandt, wife and homeschooling mother of eight (and currently living in a very small cabin in West Michigan). We have four boys and four girls ages six to twenty-seven. The Lord led us to homeschooling when our oldest daughter was ten. We’ve graduated two with our oldest son graduating this year (eek!). It’s been a crazy journey the past seventeen years. We’ve all learned so much and continue to every day.

The Lord especially taught me how each and every one of my children is unique, with their own gifts and learning styles. We’ve used many different styles of curriculum through the years from workbooks to self-created unit studies and everything in between. My hope is that I can be a help and encouragement to any and all homeschoolers needing support – whether you’re just getting started, aren’t sure if it’s for you, or you’ve been homeschooling for years.
