Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds. To inscribe means to write on, to engrave for duration, and in the tapestry of our existence, God’s inscriptions hold profound significance. In the sacred scriptures, we discover the intimate gesture of God inscribing our names on the palm of His hand, signifying a lasting connection and unwavering remembrance. However, not all inscriptions bear good news. In the days of Daniel, the hand of God inscribed a divine message on the wall for Belshazzar, Nebuchadnezzar’s son. The inscriptions were not ones of favor:<\/div>\n
“Mene: God has numbered the days of your reign and brought it to an end.<\/div>\n
Tekel: You have been weighed on the scales and found wanting.<\/div>\n
Peres: Your kingdom is divided and given to the Medes and Persians.”<\/div>\n
These inscriptions serve as poignant reminders of accountability and the consequences of one’s actions. The inscription on Belshazzar’s wall encapsulates a moment of harsh judgment, illustrating the weightiness of accountability in the grand scheme of God’s plan.<\/div>\n
As we reflect on the concept of inscribing, let us be mindful of the lasting impact of our actions and choices. When we choose God, we choose life. May our lives bear inscriptions that align with the grace and love of God, for His divine penmanship shapes not only our present but also our eternal destiny.<\/div>\n
