SUNRISE ECLIPSE! In spite of a week of nasty weather and dire forecasts, the LORD graciously allowed our party some choice glimpses of the eclipsed Sun through the clouds. I am most grateful for the hole that opened up in the clouds just as the Sun emerged above the Lake Erie horizon, an easy sight with the unaided eye. The pic does not do justice to the fluorescent neon red-orange solar crescent. These pix were snapped by my 14yo daughter Flo. Thanks to our friends John, Maureen, David, Sharon, Barb, Lynn and kids, and Lisa and kids who showed up, along with maybe a dozen enthusiastic passersby who joined the group and accepted our offer of free Eclipse Shades.
