Grizzly bears are a species of bear most commonly found in North America.
A full grown male Grizzly bears claws can get to 51-102 millimeters long, which they use for digging up roots and as weapons. Male Grizzly bears get up to an average weight of 758 pounds, and females are about 456 pounds. The average length of 78-94 inches.
The best way to know if a bear is a Grizzly is if there is a large bump on their shoulders, which I pointed out in the picture above.
Grizzly bears aren’t very dangerous unless they have cubs with them, If there are cubs or food nearby either climb a tree and get out of their reach. If you have a large and full hiking backpack get down into a fetal position and hope it doesn’t claw into your back.
