The recipe that I used to make these very delicious chocolate cookies (which actually became chocolate chip squares) was actually for coconut cookies, I just substituted the coconut for chocolate chips and they turned out pretty well. When I put them into the oven I wasn’t expecting them to melt and merge together, so when they were ready to come out of the oven I used a knife and separated them into chocolate chip squares, but they were very crumbly when I scooped them off onto a rack to cool off.

Oh, they look so crispy and yummy. I’ve made my fair share of square cookies that I’ve had to cut from a single mound of cookies that meshed together myself! They still taste yummy though. 🙂 Sometimes those ingredients can be so challenging to work with. Have you tried refrigerating your batter for an hour or two before putting in the oven? That can sometimes help.
