We read Stephen’s courageous address in Acts 7 today, and witness his martyrdom. We need to be praying for those experiencing similar threats even today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our scripture writing passage on demonstrating a servant’s heart is Deut. 15:7-11. It’s not for us to determine the worthiness of those who need help…freely we have received, freely give. We add verse 9 on to our scripture memory passage from Philippians 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streams in the Desert has us considering the fact that “He Remains” when all else may fail around us, and concludes with a heartfelt poem. Tozer challenges his readers regarding the genuineness of their “Birth from Above”, and Faith’s Checkbook encourages all of us to have “A Strong Heart”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We finish today with a prayer scripture reminding us that God is on the throne–Genesis 50:20–the words of Joseph as God granted him hindsight regarding the hardships in his life. “Better Than I” is the perfect set of lyrics to end with today, and I’ll provide the link for Ben Everson’s cover of that song here in the group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
