Hi Friends! It’s a week until Thanksgiving–are you ready? Are you giving thanks today? \ud83d\udcd6\ud83c\udf3b\u2615<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We read about some customs and traditions in 1 Corinthians 11 this morning, ending with some consideration as to the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. We continue in memorizing Psalm 103:1-8 and we are writing Proverbs 15:13 for our Contentment passage today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streams in the Desert has us thinking about things that can offend us as followers of Christ, and Tozer exhorts us in taking the reading of God’s Word (particularly aloud\/publicly) as a serious charge. Spurgeon brings to our remembrance several instances when God intervened in the lives of His people in clearly supernatural ways…that He might get the glory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We finish today looking at 1 Chronicles 19:11-13 and the hymn text “This is My Father’s World” in connection with the attribute of His sovereignty over all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Thine, O Lord is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
