We are reading in Ephesians 5 today…lots to say about our words, our unity, putting off and putting on (which is perfect as we look toward a fresh, new year). Our scripture writing passage is found in Philippians 2:5-8…familiar territory, if you memorized this chapter along with me. And we continue practicing Psalm 103:1:14 today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Streams in the Desert contains a beautiful, comforting poem about “Rejoicing” and Tozer writes about “Love Expressed in Obedience”. I especially loved Spurgeon’s excerpt in Faith’s Checkbook for today, entitled, “Absolute Assurance”, looking at Hebrews 13:5. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our scripture prayer is found in Isa. 53:3…Jesus experienced so much in our place, so that we would never have to know separation from God. We follow that theme in our hymn text today from Ben Everson: “Don’t You Fear”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
