Good morning, friends! Let’s see what God has for us today! \ud83d\udcd6\ud83c\udf3b\u2615 Nevermind that I tell you it’s January 6…it’s not. \ud83d\ude09
We’re reading Philippians 4 today, looking closely at what type of thoughts can pass through that Philippians 4:8 “sieve”. God’s peace “keeps” (literally “guards”) our hearts and our minds. That is a comfort…and a wonderful thing to pray for! We continue memorizing Psalm 103:1-15, and we are writing Psalm 52:8,9 which reminds us of trusting God’s steadfast love.
“None To Help But God” is the title of our reading from Streams in the Desert this morning. Reclaim His promises today! “What baffles you will flee before Him”! Tozer writes about “A Fact”–the fact of the resurrection of Christ. “It is not a Santa Claus tale…it is history and it is reality”–we can live in resurrection power today because He lives!
In Faith’s Checkbook we read about “A Wonderful Guarantee”–which is, “I will strengthen thee”. God has strength omnipotent! “There is no telling how much divine strength God can put into a man”…find encouragement in that truth today! Be brave!
We close today with Psalm 20:7 as our prayer scripture and the hymn text inspired by this verse, “Now May the God of Power and Grace”, written by Isaac Watts, an extremely prolific hymn writer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
