Last day of the month…let’s invest it! \ud83d\udcd6\ud83c\udf3b\u2615 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are reading in Week 44 of our schedule taking us through the New Testament in a Year, so we are in Hebrews 12 today. This is our last day with our “Faithful Love” scripture writing list from The Ruffled Mango, and our reference is 1 John 3:16-18. Today is the first day with our new scripture memory passage: Matthew 5:3-12 (the Beatitudes). In Streams in the Desert, we are encouraged to “Praise in the Midst of Trouble”–be a “human sun flower”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tozer warns us that the world is “Playing at Religion”–“Let Christ keep His distance and never assert His Lordship.” Spurgeon, in Faith’s Checkbook, writes about “Our Real Estate in Heaven”–“Heaven is even now our own. We have the title deed of it, we have the earnest of it, we have the firstfruits of it.” We are citizens of it already…we are just away for a little while so that we might bring others along with us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our final prayer scripture from His Mercy Is New on the topic, “28 Verses to Battle Anxiety with the Power of God’s Love” is 1 Peter 5:7, reminding us to cast our cares (the verb tense is once-and-done) upon the Lord because He cares for us. We close today with the hymn text, “Does Jesus Care?” <\/p>\n\n\n\n
