I decided to give this blog a bit of a jumpstart by participating in a blogging challenge. I plan to share parenting/grandparenting tips, musings, perhaps even some homeschooling tips, throughout the month. I hope you’ll follow along!
Off the top of my head, all I could come up with for the letter “A” is azalea. How does that fit in with my aforementioned topics? I really have no idea! Ha!
Maybe we could look at it this way: Slow down. Take time to enjoy the simple things, like flowers in the spring, the songs of the birds, the blue of the sky, the clouds sailing by. Spend time with your children. Read to them. Cuddle with them. Take their hands as you take your nature walk. Relish their laughter and their smiles. Cherish each hug.
Here is a list of book suggestions:
All Round the Year by Caris Brooke and E. Nesbit
Animal Children: The Friends of the Forest and the Plain by Edith Brown Kirkwood
You can find all the above books on Project Gutenburg.
I hope you’ll come back again tomorrow!
Good start to the challenge.
Beautiful flower photo.
