You’ve heard the saying, I’m sure: The family that prays together, stays together.
If you want to have a Christian home, it’s important to put God first. Make Him the Head of your home, your Guide and Counselor. It’s important to have a family worship time, but it’s also important for each member of the family to have his or her own devotional time.
I’ll admit, it didn’t always happen while my children were growing up, even though I tried hard to be consistent. It can be as simple as reading a Bible passage and having prayer. Or it can be more extensive, with Bible reading, singing a few songs, working on memorizing a Bible passage together, and prayer time. Some families may choose to use a devotional book. Or some Bible based Bible story books.
