Any relationship needs a large dose of understanding.
Definitions of understanding are:
- a state of cooperative or mutually tolerant relations between people
- mental process of a person who comprehends; comprehension; personal interpretation
- intellectual faculties; intelligence; mind
- superior power of discernment; enlightened intelligence
- knowledge of or familiarity with a particular thing; skill in dealing with or handling something
- a mutual agreement, especially of a private, unannounced, or tacit kind
Proverbs 3:5,6 says: Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. (KJV)
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7, KJV.
Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. Proverbs 3:13, KJV.
