Vacations are important for families, I think. They offer uninterrupted time and space to focus on family relationships, usually in a relaxed and peaceful setting.
Some of my favorite vacations while I was growing up were trips to the Outer Banks, The Smokies, and trips to see my grandparents. Others I remember were Christmas in Santa Fe, and a trip to the Grand Canyon.
Some of my favorite vacations in my adult years (many of them just “mini vacations”) were trips to Glacier or Yellowstone National Parks, or camping trips up in the Bob Marshal Wilderness. There were also vacations to Missouri, and Florida, when we lived in Mississippi.
