Time to start a brand new week! In today’s New Testament reading, John the Baptist is born, the angel Gabriel announces the most monumental news of all the ages to a humble young woman. We learn about Jehovah Sabaoth–the Lord of Hosts. We add verse 4 of Psalm 121 to our memory passage this week. In “Placed for a Purpose” we look closely at the underwater world of the coral reefs. Tozer reminds us that “Faith Grows with Use”. We consider “A Woman’s War” in Faith’s Checkbook today…the role of a woman who wasn’t necessarily a skilled warrior or orator, but was simply willing. To finish today we look at the hymn, “True Hearted, Wholehearted” by Frances Ridley Havergal (writer of the Consecration Hymn, “Take My Life and Let It Be”.
