Good morning! Let’s begin our week! Got your and
?Today we are switching to a different “New Testament in a Year” list, so that we don’t miss the portions which would fall over the weekend. In order to stay on track with the new list, we enjoy a special portion from The Valley of Vision on the topic of Freedom, in light of the holiday weekend.
I also switched our Ruffled Mango scripture writing list because I felt that some of the verses on our previous list on the topic of the Inspiration of Scripture were not very clear. We are now doing a list on the topic of Unity. New link in the notes. Today we add verse 6 to our scripture memory passage in Psalm 121, speaking of God’s being ever present with us, whether the sun or moon be watching over us.
Tozer today speaks of the “Illogic of Complaining”–this one grabbed my heart and mind. Have you ever kept a gratitude journal? “Vineyards in the Wilderness” is the topic for our “Streams in the Desert” passage. God knows our need of the wilderness experience. In “Faith’s Checkbook” we read of complete deliverance. God “puts a bit into the mouth of rage”.
Our prayer scripture on the theme of hope reminds us that our focus needs to be upon the unseen renewing which takes place from day to day in our lives. We close with the hymn text, “Day By Day And With Each Passing Moment” by Carolina Sandell (1865).
