Good morning friends! 📖🌻☕
Today we read Luke 16-the account of the rich man and Lazarus. We hear the request of one who has been separated from God forever. What did he ask? We learn from our scripture writing verse that there is no division among people as far as God is concerned.
We practice Psalm 121: 1-7 for the final time this week. Monday we add verse 8 to finish out with this passage. The following Monday we’ll begin a new portion to memorize. This will be Philippians 2:1-11.
Streams in the Desert boldly declares, “Whatever the Cost”. We talk about what Abraham’s faith looked like at Mt. Moriah. Tozer instructs us about “Working Out What God Works In You”. Have you ever been “humble in a sick kind of way” as he mentions today? Let’s avoid this “morbid humility”! “A Word to Him Who Halts” is the title for today’s portion from Faith’s Checkbook. I loved this one. Touched my heart.
Our prayer journal scripture is Deut. 31:6–be strong, fear not. Our hymn is “Be Strong in the Lord”–a piece I remember from my days as a single gal, singing in the choir at Bethel Calvary Church in Taylors, SC.
