Happy Thursday! 
We are reading in the gospel of John, chapter 6 today. We have the feeding of the multitude by the Bread of Life, then a great storm at sea, and a very eager and persistent crowd. Our scripture writing verse is Leviticus 16:16…the law must be included in a full discussion of the topic of forgiveness in the Bible.
Streams in the Desert declares “It Is Sufficient”, speaking of God’s grace. How important to notice that “is” is in the present tense! A.W. Tozer this morning describes “True Love” for us. Jealous words written in defense of the true and pure love that originated with God alone. We must live out this love so the world understands His original intent.
Faith’s Checkbook tells us about “Law in the Heart”–law becomes liberty to us when we know the Law Giver personally. Our prayer scripture is 2 Tim. 2:13…”he abideth faithful” even when our faith is frail. Our hymn text, “O Jesus, I Have Promised”…shows how our faithfulness is born out of God’s faithfulness to us.
