Good morning! 📖🌻☕
Today we are in John 14…”Let not your heart be troubled”…words we all need to hear, for a multitude of reasons. We see a repeated pattern of loving God and obedience fueled by that love. Jesus begins to roll out His introduction to the Holy Spirit, the new Comforter.
Our scripture writing verse from The Ruffled Mango is Luke 6:37…one that is often misused for its first two words, “judge not”. There is an important element of humility not often considered. Be reminded that we are called to exhort one another.
Streams in the Desert tells us of “A Simple Prayer”–a lesson in childlike faith. A wonderful thing to pray for…the ability to pray knowing God has already answered. Tozer in the Morning speaks of “World and Kingdom Status”. Timely reminders. The ground is level at the foot of the cross.
Our excerpt from Faith’s Checkbook by Spurgeon asks “Who Has the Majority?” More important reminders of faith. I’m convicted by the question Jesus put to His disciples, “Where is your faith?” It should “lift us above all fear”.
Our prayer scripture is Deut. 7:9. Our God is faithful and keeps His covenants (promises). Today we consider “The Convicting Spirit” from The Valley of Vision.
