Another week is nearly “in the books”–let’s finish well! 📖🌻☕
Exciting days for the early church in today’s reading in Acts 11–the disciples now have a new name: “Christians”. Galatians 6:7-10 is our “serving others” scripture writing today. Don’t be weary in well doing…be sure to nurture your own health, spiritually and physically, as you serve. You cannot draw from a dry well.
Streams in the Desert has “Perfection of Suffering” as the topic today. Great saintliness of soul necessitates great suffering. There is blessing in being “absolutely conquered”. Tozer tells us that “We Travel in An Appointed Way”–let’s continue resolute. Let us “rise up and build”.
Spurgeon writes in Faith’s Checkbook today about “Coming In and Going Out”. We all have “a good deal of work to do indoors, in our own souls”. Lord Jesus, come in and be our Guest. Our prayer scripture is Joshua 1:9–be strong, have courage, don’t be afraid or dismayed…God is with us! “Abide With Me” is our hymn text today. “Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me”!
