Good morning! Time to read, write, memorize, pray, and meditate upon the “wonderful words of life”. We read today in Acts 15 and we discover that our adversary was well aware that his efforts had been thwarted and the word of the Lord was going forth with great power. Toward the end of this chapter we see his attempts to sow division among the brethren. Spoiler alert: He does not succeed.
We are writing John 15:12,13 today as a reminder that we are to love others as Christ loved us–unreservedly, unconditionally, and sacrificially. Streams in the Desert takes us to the brook Cherith to help us to be mindful in the seasons God provides for us to hide in Him.
Tozer likens us to a child trying to put together a puzzle with some pieces that will fit anywhere while others fit nowhere…if we try to “assemble” the truths of God’s word without the guidance of the Spirit. And Spurgeon writes of how God takes note of the smallest things we do in service for others.
We finish today reading “Resurrection” from The Valley of Vision and praying the scripture in Psalm 94:19– “In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.” Do you need comfort? He is our help…He holds us up (read the two preceding verses 17,18). Let’s find our comfort and delight as we wrap ourselves up in His unfailing word today.
