We are continuing in our journey through the New Testament in a year, reading in Romans 2 this morning. We look at Psalm 66:1-7 as our scripture writing passage from Sweet Blessings, and we are winding down this week with Psalm 103:1,2 as our memory portion.
Streams in the Desert encourages us in “Desperate Situations” and Tozer discusses the plight of “The Lonely Human” with some very thought-provoking ideas to consider. Spurgeon admonishes us to be “Never Ashamed” in Faith’s Checkbook this morning.
Our prayer scripture is a familiar one you may have memorized with me some months ago–Philippians 4:8. This is the “sieve” through which all our thoughts must pass. We close with a portion from the Valley of Vision entitled “The Convert’s First Prayer”, highlighting the powerful role the Holy Spirit plays from the very first moments of our new life in Christ.
