We are reading in Romans 5…we have “peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ”. Because our feet are shod with the gospel of peace, our stance is firm! A little extra discussion on this important chapter, establishing our position before God…our at-one-ment because of the free Gift of salvation in Christ. “Where sin abounded, grace abounded more…my ransomed soul repeats it o’er and o’er!”
We continue practicing Psalm 103:1-3 this week, and today’s scripture writing portion from Sweet Blessings is Psalm 96:1-7 speaking of our “new song”.
Streams in the Desert tells us about “Impressions” from Numbers 10 regarding the Ark of the Covenant. God provides evidence in connection with those things upon which He wants us to take action. Tozer in the Morning discusses “God and the Individual”…God loves the masses and throngs because they are made up of individuals.
Faith’s Checkbook by Spurgeon tells us about “Regulated Chastisement”– God’s correction “in measure” is proof that we are His children. We conclude today with 1 Cor. 6:12 as our prayer scripture on self control and the hymn text, “I Am Resolved”.
