Good morning and happy Wednesday to you all! 📖🌻☕
This morning we are in 1 Corinthians 5 reading Paul’s letter to the church at Corinth addressing some serious problems. What does it look like to deal with those who say that are a child of God and yet persist in a sinful lifestyle without any evidence of repentance?
1 Tim 6:6,7 is our Contentment passage for scripture writing today, and we continue working on memorizing Psalm 103:1-6.
Streams in the Desert tells us that “Faith Triumphs”–have faith like Abraham, who believed God would make good on His promise/covenant regardless of whether or not it seemed likely. Tozer tells us about knowing “God’s Highest Will” as we put away known sin, separate ourselves from distraction, and offer ourselves to God in faith.
Spurgeon discusses “Walking Without Stumbling” in Faith’s Checkbook. We could not stand for an hour without His holding us fast. We look at God’s attribute of transcendence (above all), reading Psalm 113:4,5.
We close today with the hymn text, “Ye Servants of God, Your Master Proclaim” by Charles Wesley. “His kingdom is glorious, and rules over all!”
