A brand new week ahead of us, so let’s begin it well! 📖🌻☕
I give you an announcement about various groups I’ve been populating over at Daily Testify, a brand new Christian social media platform: The Quiet Rest Podcast Group, The Restful Homeschool Group, Type 1 Warriors Group, and “Semicolon” (a group for suicide awareness and intervention). I invite you to come check out the platform. I was invited to help jump start it in providing some excellent content for those arriving. https://dailytestify.com/index.php/
First Corinthians 8 today–the discussion continues on what to do about meat offered to idols. If we love the Lord, is that known about us? Is our devotion obvious in our choices, words, actions, reactions?
We are adding verse 7 to our scripture memory passage for this week–Psalm 103:1-7. Try to mentally strap on the sandals of Moses as we add that verse today. And Psalm 37:16 is our scripture writing passage on Contentment today. Let’s make sure we are “rich toward God”, friends. (Luke 12:21)
“Through Faith” is our topic for Streams in the Desert this morning. Remember that all the heroes of the faith from scripture grew up in their faith, too. In Morning & Evening with Tozer, we consider what it looks like to be “Prosperous, Comfortable, and Spiritually Bored”. Does the “faith of our fathers” hold us?
purgeon writes about “Limitless Riches” (“His riches in glory”) in Faith’s Checkbook, and we look at God’s attribute of omniscient (actually I accidentally skipped to the scriptures for “omnipresent” and I fix that tomorrow-lol-thanks for your patience with me!) from our free resource from the Navigators. We close with “A Neophyte’s Devotion” from The Valley of Vision (which is used by permission from Banner of Truth).
