Good morning! Do you have Thanksgiving jet lag? Let’s do something about that as we begin a new week in our “corner” together! 📖🌻☕
We are reading 2 Corinthians 2 this morning. Some important ideas to consider in our correction/discipline of others as well as being savvy regarding the Enemy’s devices. This week we’ll add verse 10 onto our passage for memorization: Psalm 103:1-10.
As we finish out our list on the topic of Contentment from The Ruffled Mango, we write out 2 Thess. 3:16–“…peace always, by all means”. Streams in the Desert encourages us to listen for the “Music of the Storm” and Tozer asks us to consider that “Prayer is No Substitute for Obedience”–we must “observe to do” as Deuteronomy states over and over. Obedience with the intent to act.
Spurgeon reminds us that we need to “Know How to Wait” in Faith’s Checkbook. “Unbelief must be doing something, and thus it works its own undoing; but faith makes no more haste than good speed, and thus it is not forced to go back sorrowfully by the way which it followed heedlessly.”
We close by considering God’s name Adonai (Master) and by looking at 2 Timothy 2:17-20 to understand what the Master’s servant looks like. This week we finish with portions from The Valley of Vision…today’s being “The Dark Guest”.
