Happy Hump Day! 🐪🐫🐪 Let’s get up and over and on to a great start for our day!
We look at 2 Corinthians 9 this morning, and Paul is full of abundant praise for the changes wrought in the church at Corinth. We close the chapter thanking God for His “unspeakable gift”…and we celebrate this coming to fruition in the person of our Messiah. We continue memorizing Psalm 103:1-11 today and our scripture writing passage is Psalm 72:1-7, considering the peace, serenity, and flourishing that takes place in the presence of “the king’s son”.
Streams in the Desert exhorts us to “Show Love”, sharing the inspiring story of a man and his oil can. Tozer wants us to consider how being aware of “The Presence of God” moment by moment will literally change our lives.
Spurgeon discusses how “Following Leads to Honor” in Faith’s Checkbook today. So much spiritual truth is really counter-intuitive (against what makes sense to our minds naturally). We close with Isaiah 12:2 as our prayer scripture and the hymn text, “Jesus, Lover of My Soul” by Charles Wesley, dated 1740.
