It’s Thankful Thursday! Tell me something you are thankful for today in the comments! ππ»β
Hebrews 5 is our reading today, which reminds us we should be changing, maturing, and “growing up into Him in all things”. Our verse to write today is John 16:33–God sees the whole timeline and already views His plans completed. We continue working on Psalm 103:1-21 this morning, filling our minds with good things. π§
Streams in the Desert discusses “Believing Before Seeing”–“The command in regard to believing prayer is the present tense. βWhen ye pray, believe that ye receive the things that ye desire, and ye shall have them.β Have we come to that moment? Have we met God in His everlasting NOW?” Tozer recalls to mind the precious promise of the Lord Jesus, “I Am With You Always”–“The wings of the dove do not weigh it down…they carry and support it. And so the thought of God is never a burden; it is a gentle breeze which bears us up”.
Spurgeon encourages us that “God Can Make You Strong”–“God deserves to be served with all the energy of which we are capable”. Our scripture for our prayer time is Matthew 6:25-32, reminding us not to worry…God knows what we have need of before we ask it. The blessing for us is often in the asking…how it instructs us of our need of Him and His presence.
“New Beginning” is the title of our portion from The Valley of Vision this morning–“If I am not right, set me right, keep me right; And may I at last come to thy house in peace.” Tomorrow we finish out our week…thanks for being faithful. You never know who you might be encouraging as they watch you “stick by the stuff”!
