Here we are at “up-n-over” day again! Happy Wednesday! 📖🌻☕
We begin reading in James 1 today, with lots to consider about wisdom, faith, temptation, and our words. Our “Her Story/His Glory” scripture writing passage is Genesis 16:10-11,13, and we continue practicing Matthew 5:3 as we begin to learn the Beatitudes together.
Streams in the Desert admonishes us to “Meet Him in the Morning” with this simple reminder–“You cannot expect to be victorious, if the day begins only in your own strength.” We should know this, right? Tozer gives us advice on “Becoming More Lovable” and Spurgeon writes about “Giving Without a Whisper”–“Blessed is the man who is busy in secret with his kindness: he finds a special joy in his unknown benevolences.”
We finish out today with Matthew 6:3,4 as our prayer scripture and the hymn text, “We Plow the Fields and Scatter”, inspired by this scripture passage.
