Good morning everyone–let’s begin this new week as we “Spring forward” (well, most of us do). 📖🌻☕
We are reading in 1 Peter 4 this morning as we begin Week 46 of our schedule (we’re on the last page now!). Our scripture writing from the Her Story/His Glory list has us considering the role Queen Esther was to play in the future of the Jewish nation. And we are adding another verse to our memory passage as we learn the Beatitudes: Matthew 5:3-5 this week.
Streams in the Desert tells us about “Treasures in the Darkness” –“Mystery is only the veil of God’s face.” Tozer in the Morning discusses “The Transformed Life”–“This is where we stand: receiving Jesus Christ into your life means that you have made an attachment to the Person of Christ that is revolutionary, in that it reverses the life and transforms it completely!”
Spurgeon, in Faith’s Checkbook, reminds us of God’s “Tender Comfort”–“He will consider our weakness as she did, and He will put away our faults, only in a surer, safer way than our mother could do.”
Our prayer scripture is Isaiah 66:13, and we finish with the lyrics of the gospel song, “The Lily of the Valley” with some interesting information about the writer.
Thanks for joining me this morning!
