It’s FriYAY! So let’s get right into it! 📖🌻☕
We are reading in 2 Peter 3 this morning. Cautions for living in these last days, and admonitions to keep on growing! 🌱 We practice Matthew 5:3-5 for the last time together…Monday we’ll add verse 6! And we are continuing to write about Elisabeth today with Luke 1:13-14 as today’s passage from our list at The Ruffled Mango.
Streams in the Desert reminds us that “He Answered Nothing”–“There is a stillness that lets God work for us, and holds our peace; the stillness that ceases from its contriving and its self-vindication, and its expedients of wisdom and forethought, and lets God provide and answer the cruel blow, in His own unfailing, faithful love.”
Tozer tells us about “The Fallacy of Insignificant Sin”–“…a man’s status before God is decided not by the number and enormity of his sins but by whether those sins have or have not been forgiven.” In Faith’s Checkbook,
Spurgeon exhorts us to “Continue Upright”–“He does not consider the grammar of it, nor the metaphysics of it, nor the rhetoric of it; in all these men might despise it. He, as a Father, takes pleasure in the lispings of His own babes, the stammerings of His new-born sons and daughters.”
We close with Proverbs 15:8 as our prayer scripture, and the hymn text, “Did You Think to Pray?” Have a wonderFULL weekend, and I’ll see you Monday, Lord willing.
