I wish you a joy-filled Tuesday on this 11th day of April! Let’s get into the word! 📖🌻☕
Our chapter to read this morning is Revelation 9, and our scripture writing portion is John 14:30-31, which reminds us that in the matter of spiritual warfare, Satan has no power or claim on us. A mighty fortress is our God! Today we wield the “sword of the Spirit” as we continue to commit Matthew 5:3-9 to memory.
Streams in the Desert today reminds us that “God Permits Temptation”–“God permits temptation because it does for us what the storms do for the oaks—it roots us; and what the fire does for the paintings on the porcelain—it makes them permanent.”
Tozer helps us to consider what the lives of the disciples looked like “When Pentecost Came”–“After Pentecost, the Spirit brought them a new and vivid consciousness of the actual Presence of God. He gave them the gifts of divine joy and peace.”
Spurgeon in Faith’s Checkbook reminds us of the freeing truth that “He Remembers No More”–“The Great Lord will not remember our sins so as to punish them, or so as to love us one atom the less because of them. As a debt when paid ceases to be a debt, even so doth the Lord make a complete obliteration of the iniquity of His people.”
We close with Proverbs 24:3 as our prayer scripture, considering whether the atmosphere of our own homes is built upon wisdom and understanding, and we read “Divine Support” from The Valley of Vision. Have a wonderFULL day, and I’ll see you tomorrow, Lord willing!
