So, here we are with a fresh, sparkly, new Monday of a new week to begin together! Let’s do it!

Our reading as we being Week 51 of our schedule which has taken us through the New Testament over the past year, is Revelation 13. Our scripture writing from The Ruffled Mango is 2 Cor. 11:13-15–we must be discerning because our adversary is a deceiver and will try to make us fearful and discontent through his deception. We add verse 10 to Matthew 5:3-10 this week, as we continue to memorize the Beatitudes.
Streams in the Desert today concerns “Hindrance to Prayer”–“It seems so unsafe to just sit still, and do nothing but trust the Lord; and the temptation to take the battle into our own hands is often tremendous.” I’ve been there. You too?
Tozer cautions against “Spiritual Smugness”–“If we feel that we are what we ought to be, then we will remain what we are.” We must have God’s perspective and His directives as our “rule of thumb”.
Spurgeon in Faith’s Checkbook reminds us that “He Never Fails”–“Beloved, a life of warfare is before us, but the Lord of Hosts is with us. Are we called to lead a great but fickle people? This promise guarantees us all the wisdom and prudence that we shall need. Have we to contend with cunning and powerful enemies? Here is strength and valor, prowess and victory.” He will provide all we need for “life and godliness”!
Our prayer verse for this week is Romans 12:10, and today we read “Morning” from The Valley of Vision to finish our podcast this morning.
Here’s to a blessed new week!
