Last Friday of the month! We’ll finish out this week, this month, and our first year doing the Quiet Time Corner today. At the end of the podcast, I’ll let you know what things we’ll be looking at as we switch things up for our second year! 📖🌻☕
Today we finish the New Testament by reading Revelation 22–“Even so, come, Lord Jesus!” We are writing 1 John 4:5-6, speaking of the need for discernment as strategies are considered in our spiritual “war room”, and we finish practicing Matthew 5:3-11.
Streams in the Desert exhorts us to “Keep Praying”–“Each of three boys gave a definition of faith which is an illustration of the tenacity of faith. The first boy said, “It is taking hold of Christ”; the second, “Keeping hold”; and the third, “Not letting go.”
Tozer reminds us today that “We Were Made to Worship”–“The wise of the world who have not learned to worship are but demi-men, unformed and rudimentary. Their further development awaits the life-giving touch of Christ to wake them to spiritual birth and life eternal.”
Spurgeon in our final installment of Faith’s Checkbook encourages us to “Forget and Forgive”–“It is nobler to forgive, and let the offense pass. To let an injury rankle in your bosom, and to meditate revenge, is to keep old wounds open, and to make new ones.”
We close with Philippians 2:14 as our prayer scripture concerning our outer circles of influence, as well as considering “May the Lord Find Us Faithful” by Mac Lynch.
See you on Monday, with all sorts of shiny new goodies!
