Happy Monday–today we begin some new things so our podcast is just a tad longer today as we acclimate to new resources. 📖🌻☕
We are reading Psalm 1 as we begin on our journey, reading through the Psalms in a Year. This psalm is a portrait of the person who is blessed, offering what the source of that blessing truly is. Our new scripture writing topic is “True Beauty” from the Ruffled Mango site, as we consider the beautification properties of joy. We are finishing memorizing the Beatitudes this week, following the them of what it looks like to be “blessed”.
“Grace for Today” by Donald Fortner for today addresses the truth that “ye are not your own”–so good. I’m very grateful God directed me to this new (to me) devotional! I’m loving it already! Today’s passage on “ye are not your own” is just excellent.
We are also beginning “My Utmost for His Highest” by J. Oswald Sanders. Today’s portion has to do with patience and waiting for God’s guidance–“The proof that we have the vision is that we are reaching out for more than we have already grasped. It is a bad thing to be satisfied spiritually.”
Our prayer scripture for this week as we begin praying on the topic of Salvation is Ephesians 2:8,9–we are saved by grace, through faith, plus nothing.
Our Hymnary today is “A Debtor to Mercy” by Augustus Toplady–“I come with Your righteousness on”!
Thanks for your patience as we begin our new resources, and I try to regain my health.
So glad you were with me here today! 💗
