Happy Tuesday!๐ ๐ปโ
Today we read vv. 1-11 of Psalm 7, and I give you a little background as to the context. We are writing the long-awaited-and-expected verse on “True Beauty”, Proverbs 31:29-31. And we begin memorizing Proverbs 2:1-7.
Grace for Today has to do with the the third commandment and how we should be revering God’s name always–“…certainly those to whom God has revealed himself in Christ, who know the eternal God as their heavenly Father, because of their love for him, would rather die than profane his holy name. Our heartsโ desire is โOur Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name!”
Oswald Chambers today exhorts us to “Take the Initiative”–“If, when a crisis comes, we instinctively turn to God, we will know that the habit has been formed in us. We have to take the initiative where we are, not where we have not yet been.” Perform the doing of it, as Paul says in 2 Cor. 8:11. ๐๐ป
We close looking at Phil. 2:12 and the focus in the verse on our obedience even when “no one” is looking, and paying attention to our own hearts and lives before looking at what is happening in the lives of others.
Our Hymnary is “Work, for the Night is Coming”–let’s invest the time and resources that have been lent to us.
Thanks for coming by!
