We begin by reading in John 18, and we see Jesus standing before Annas and Caiphas…looking toward the “joy that was set before Him”. Today’s scripture writing passage is Acts 7:59,60, where we see Stephen martyred for his faith in Christ and making much the same request as Jesus did for those who took his life–“lay not this sin to their charge”.
I realized after I had recorded, that I forgot to open my tab for our scripture memory passage! Is it ironic that I’m forgetting that? 😉 This week is Philippians 2:3-7. We’ll catch up together tomorrow!
Streams in the Desert takes us on a journey across the ocean with “No Solution in Sight”, and Tozer continues our theme of forgiveness by sharing some remarks about what he calls “the top side of the soul”.
Faith’s Checkbook admonishes us to “Love and Seek True Wisdom” and our prayer scripture is a familiar one…Matthew 6:33, reminding us to be faithful in seeking God, and He will be faithful in supplying our needs.
We close with a portion from The Valley of Vision entitled “God and Myself”, and I share a couple urgent prayer requests as we end our time together.
