Good morning! I’ve begun numbering my episodes, so, yes…today is #161! God is good! 🙂 📖🌻☕
This morning we read from Acts 2–The Comforter has come! What an amazing gift the indwelling of the person of the Holy Spirit is!
Our verse for our scripture writing today is James 5:15…meditate while you write! 🙂 We add verse 8 to our scripture memory this week…Jesus was a willing sacrifice, not a victim. He chose…”not my will but Thine be done.”
Streams in the Desert tells us about “Deep Faith”…keep well out to sea. “Fair weather faith is no faith.” Tozer discusses “Personal Commitment to Growth”–“Here I stand. I can do nothing else. So help me God.” Whose quote is this? Do you know? (No fair Googling!) 🙂
“Solace, Security, Satisfaction” is the subject of Faith’s Checkbook today. Be “delivered and delighted”! Our scripture for prayer today (our final one for the month–she only goes through the 30th of each month) is 1 Thess. 5:23,24-complete sanctification and blameless preservation are ours. He’s faithful!
Our hymn text for today is “The Comforter Has Come” by Francis Bottome in the mid 1800’s. Tomorrow is our final day of the month. Let’s finish well! I’ll have new scripture writing and prayer journal links for you as we begin September. Thanks for joining me today!
